Sizemore.

No. 9604

Drury M. Hart, being first duly sworn, deposes and says:

I claim to participate in this fund thru my father, Riley Hart, who died at about the close of the War. I am 48 years of age. My father lived in Ashe County during his lifetime, and I was born there and have only lived in Smyth County, Va. three years. My father's father was John Hart, and I have heard that he was related to James and Ned Hart, who lived in Ashe County.    I suppose that James Hart who married Catharine Sizemore would have been my great grandfather. Until the agitation of the Indian matters, I never heard much about my Indian blood, only when I had it thrown up to me.    My father's Indian blood came through his father, John Hart.    I have never heard of my father or grandfather ever receiving any money from the Government on account of his Indian blood

(Signed)   D M Hart

Subscribed and sworn to before me at Marion, Va., this 11th day of April, 1908.
